It's amazing when you take a nice kid at 18,strip him of all self-identity, teach him how to kill then send him to hell. This is a shame. The blame is obvious. Fuck.

You have to admit. This might be the most humane war America's waged so far. No 100,000 fatality per day carpet bombings or nukes dropped yet.

Of course there is that little part about how we have no reason to be there in the first place and the guy they pinned all of our 9/11 woes on is still at large.

On the bright side, at least gas prices are through the roof.

What the fuck will these guys do for entertainment when they get home and have to work as civilians. I guess they can all become cops.

Most of those guys are going to come home some day. Jesus.

That may be coming sooner than you think. Bush is trying to repeal the Posse Comitatus act. This says (put simply), that you can't use federal troops as local law enforcement officers. Those natural disasters in the gulf are yet another excuse to usurp even more power and those guys will be on the front line ...... here.

Can you provide links on where we can find more info about this? Thanks.

look carefully (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=1157506):

"'...but is there a natural disaster of a certain size that would then enable the Defense Department to become the lead agency in coordinating and leading the response effort,' Bush said."

[emphasis mine.]

and here (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050917/ap_on_re_us/katrina_military_role):

"...Rumsfeld has not made recommendations to Bush, but among the issues he is examining is the viability of the Posse Comitatus Act. Di Rita called it one of the 'very archaic laws' from a different era in U.S. history that limits the Pentagon's flexibility in responding to 21st century domestic crises."

Reichstag fire decree- Recinded Hebeas corpus.
Gesetz uber den Neufbau (act to rebuild reich).-This act changed a decentralized federal German Republic to a centralized power.
Enabling act(1933). This act gave the chancellor the same power as the Reichstag(elected senatorial government).
Then Gestapo...... Then,well you know...
Sound familiar?

Try and add something to the conversation. Are you gonna be a jerk off when this shit happens and one of these guys is sticking the barrel of his assault rifle up YOUR ass? I can't help but laugh with the soldiers when I see this going on in Iraq. Fuck Iraq and Fuck you for being sympathetic idiots. Do you actually think that anything is ever going to change over there. This section of the world has always and will always hate America, you can't change this! You try and try to come up with better ways to better this violent world we live in but you can't. Since the dawn of time it has been man vs man, fighting for land and religion. You sit here and tell me to respect all walks of life and I say absolutley not! I cannot and will not respect someone who does not respect me. If there actually was a chance of peace in this fucked up world then I would join the movement to conquer all the evil and save the day like Bono(yeah right). But ya see my friends, there ain't peace in this world and there ain't never gonna be. I've lived it and i've seen it day to day. This is a dog eat dog world and those who threaten me and my country shall pay the ultimate price. Oh yeah I know what you're saying, how is Iraq a threat to the U.S? I will tell you how. They make women wear vails over there face which in turn provide no sexual movement which in turn causes men to be angry which in turn leads to violence. SOLUTION? No solution, If I had it my way I would launch a full campaign to destroy all organized religion in the world including Catholicism(the biggest joke in mankind). But that would just in turn lead to more violence. My only point to you who think that it's all George Bush and his Republican army of idiots is, is that you are right Mr. Bush is an idiot but so are you for thinking you can change anything. I'll see you all in Hell! The world will be a fire pit within 200 years, goodbye

Changing the world? That sounds a bit ideal, doesn't it?

How about not getting the entire fucking planet pissed off at us for a start.

That and taking care of our own citizens in need.

That sounds reasonable.

I thought the original point was, mr. demon, that our young men are getting brainwashed to the point of loosing all of their humanity. Wars happen, this is a regrettable part of civilization. The point being taken further was that these very same young men potentialy can come back and be turned against the civillian population in what is starting to look like a military police state. OUR freedoms are at stake(that does'nt seem "left wing" to me). Just imagine one of your friends arms stuck to the wall with a smiling 19 year old kid, (a U.S. soldier), pointing at it. Did you even look at the links at the begining of this thread? Do you want a military police state? If so, just come out and say it and I'll shut the fuck up.(maybe)

Are you really as dumb as you sound? You actually think that American soldiers that are participating in this war in Iraq are going to come back to the U.S. and help with making it a police state? What? These kids are brainwashed and I know this, but they are also taught that they are defending America. They love America and without them your ass would be grass.

Here's a question: Did soldiers return from Vietnam, where they committed tons of unspeakable atrocities, and do terrible, inhumane things to American people? Of course not. Some of them lost their minds and/or couldn't function normally, but most of them returned to normal lives, as normal as one can have after fighting in a terrible go-nowhere war.

Vietnam vets are among us all today. Are they fighting in the private sector to turn America into a police state? No.

What the soldiers in Iraq are doing is terrible, but let's not go off the deep end.

I think some posters above went off a tangent and summoned you the polar opposite tangent.

I think the only thing to worry about is this is the level of moral upbringing our "few and proud" soldiers are getting.

Which is really strange seeing as just a month ago a General was demoted for adultery .. yet the army can't seem to find any reason to punish their troops for making americans out to be a bunch of porn crazed twats.

well let me start off by saying i have no problem with good old fashioned porn, people are sexual beings.

but, don't get me wrong, the webmaster is a complete jack off for trading access to porn for images of gore. and yes anyone visiting the site to get what ever satisfying pleasure they get out of seeing grusome images is more than likely not someone i would want living next door.

so yes, rope them in under the classification of "fucked up"

Posse comitatus was enacted in 1878. The American public hasn't had to worry about military policing its soil nor have we had to worry about an administration so bent on taking our rights away from us to the extent that this administration has. Between the Homeland Security Act, the lies this administration gets away with, the nepotism, the incompetence, ect., this issue with our soldiers and the complete disregard for the Geneva convention goes all the way to our commander in chief. Watching ghouls gloat over carnage anticipating porn in return is just fucking sick. The notion that our government is working to be able to use these same troops to govern us at home bothers me. History repeats itself and anyone who is too stubborn, brainwashed or complacent to at least pay attention and be ready (at least mentally) doesn't deserve the precious freedoms that are slowly being taken away from us. The government ammended posse comitatus in 1981 to help fight the war on drugs( we won that one, didn't we boys). Since then countless Americans have had their civil rights violated. Is this "left wing agenda"? Is it dumb to remain vigilant? They ( the soldiers) are not trained to love America, they are trained to take orders. Besides if their commander in cheif tells them that the liberals, gays, left handed people, ect. are not true americans, then thats what they will beleive. Oh, and don't give me this bullshit "without them blah blah blah" my family has served in the military during a fucking war all the way back to the revolutionary war when we fought on the side of the "liberals" of the day.

P.S. "I'll see you all in hell? The world will become a fire pit in 200 years?"

I have to disagree with you on this one Gomez. I don't think your question is relevant; it's actually a rhetorical question. It's not about what the soldiers will be doing of their own accord once they're home at all. The problem at hand is those in control grabbing greater amounts of power to the point where they will be handing down orders to the military that will make the US look more and more like a police state everyday. Of course this is all in the guise of "making America safe". This is exactly what the founders of our country wanted to avoid, but today's politicians trample the constitution and bill of rights all the time now. It's like they don't even exist anymore.
