Damn, I wish I heeded your warning... these people give hippies a bad name. They're something else. Some weird fashion evolution...

Midly off-topic: What would happen to these people if there was a huge catastrophe, society collapsed or some other event that mandated that they rough it for real? They'd probably panic and/or die.
People can disagree with me if they wish, but I don't see the point in paying several hundred dollars and traveling several hundred miles for the 'privilege' of living without public infrastructure in the desert for two weeks.

and to think that one of the founders of GOOGLE went to burning man this year, to surely oogle and jack off, along with countless other silicon valley nerds... ;) ...woweee zoweee... why anyone would wanna hang out with a buncha naked (and typically fat) douchebags for two weeks, EVEN WITH ALL THE AMENITIES OF A FIVE STAR HOTEL, is beyond me... ;) ...just goes to show ya: money does not buy class... or, for that matter, a good party... ;)

ok, i'll turn my wrath over to the bay area, the zone in which this "burner" virus was first unleashed (if i'm not mistaken)
or, better yet, back to seattle, as folks round here seem to have been spurned, by this character-vaporizing burner virus, to FAR GREATER HEIGHTS OF BURNINGMAN DORKINESS than anywhere else on the planet... ;)
if you think you can handle it, take another godawful look:

Wow.
I've been to Burning Man three times and really enjoyed my experience... you meet all walks of life there, some awesome, some otherwise.
But this group really is a hit parade of uberdorks.
Out of the 300-something people pictured, I saw maybe 3-4 I'd like to fuck. And "like" might even be too strong of a term. Maybe all the cool/sexy people from Seattle were unwilling to be lumped in with these losers.
I'll bet this also answers the questions raised in another thread about what kind of people go to The Wet Spot.
