... in this entire godforsaken city? Not trying to be sarcastic, just got a bad case of winter dissatisfaction. Stuck in the office today, wishing it would snow and we could all run out into the street, find that the cars had all mysteriously disappeared and get into a city-wide snowball fight. Deus ex machina, come and save me. Yeah!

Think about South Dakota:
...so flat you could watch your dog run away for three days
...so void of economic development that you'd best keep your fast food job before grandma steals it to pay for her meds
...everyone bitches about the snow and how they want to leave, but they don't leave
...there's one club in sioux falls--and it's not a real club
...the music scene is made up of so many stupid trendy hardcore/emo kids because the culture lag hasn't told them they're hipsters yet
doesn't that make you appreciate seattle just a bit more?
:)

This happened a couple years ago when I lived on CapHill. People sleding (couch/matress riding) down Denny, drinking in the streets. It was indeed great fun. Aside from that... just find a dark corner in a neigborhood bar and go from there.

I passed through sioux falls back in the late 80's moving across the country to live in seattle. It is a serious hole. Nothing but storefronts with teepees and bows and arrows in the windows. Seattle is a cultural mecca compared to many parts of the country.
It's always slow on things to do between xmas and new years. Most bands and other quality performers always seem to be on hiatus. If nothing else, you've got alcohol and netflix until the holidays are gone.
