Diane Daugert, 55, who has cerebral palsy, was driving her electric wheelchair in the 7200 block of River Road near Puyallup when its battery died Monday at 3:30 p.m., said sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer.
As Daugert walked to get help, a white sport utility vehicle with a ski rack drove up. Two men got out and loaded the burgundy-colored wheelchair into the back, he said. Both men were described as having a thin build and about 40 years old.
Daugert said the men laughed and waved at her as they drove away.
