Hey all...super important for you to attend this and try get out everyone you know to do the same. This will be a fantastic opportunity to educate yourself about local political issues facing Seattle's music community and find out what the candidates are thinking. Please plan on coming and please invite everyone you know.

Wednesday, June 29 The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy along with several community partners Hosts a Seattle City Council Candidates Forum For the Music Community at Neumo's on Capitol Hill.

Council Candidates attending will include Linda Averill, Ángel Bolaños, Richard Conlin, Nick Licata, Casey Corr, Richard McIver, Dwight Pelz, and Robert Rosencrantz

The Recording Academy presents this forum as a non-partisan event designed to engage the music community on music related issues before this fall’s important election. A panel of community leaders will ask both prepared questions and questions will also be taken from the audience. The intent is to give all candidates running for city council a platform in which to have a dialogue with their constituencies. This forum will be all ages, free and open to the public.

Following the forum, there will be a reception for the participants and attendees.
