OK I know everyone loves J.E. in this town, but does anyone have any additional suggestions as far as a producer for my band's next album? The main thing we'd like to go for is to not lose the "live" energy, because apparently we sound about 1 million times better live than on the recordings. Also, we want to record at an actual studio with acoustically designed rooms, 2 inch analog, vintage pres and other outboard gear etc... Any suggestions? We can travel to record too... I remember hearing about a studio up in Canada....

The only place to go for such thing is to Mr. Conrad Uno. 2 inch Analog, he insists on recording live and has done all of the big names in town. He is also a pure pleasure to work with and very affordable.
Check him out and tell him Nate from Lowlife Superhero sent you.

Dude...
Jack is the man.
If you want something amazing and magical...go to the master himself. He is the "Mad Scientist of Sound", "The Grand Wizard of the Northwest", the "Gandolf of Rock".
However, another REALLY good engineer and producer is Donn DeVore down at Ironwood Studios. Ironwood is now called "Avast" but at least call him and see the facilities. Tell him Rane from DBS sent ya mang, and to take care of you guys!
