ABOUT THE BANDS...

V
Led by long-time Seattle musicians Tim Young and Paul Moore and featuring an impressive host of Seattle musicians, V will perform a rare unplugged version of their song cycle The Fool. V: The Fool was first performed at Lo-Fi in 2003 and premiered in its entirety to packed houses at On the Boards that same year with an orchestra of more than 30 musicians. Young and Moore also adapted a version of the The Fool, entitled IX. Mischief commissioned by the Degenerate Art Orchestra and performed at The Moore Theater, March 19, 2005.

THE STARES
There’s no question: your first encounter with this music will be one you’ll remember. Having just released their first album From Spine to Sea, this band is quickly drawing more and more devotees. Jeff Rush of The Tablet says “To say their style is a rare find in this town is a laughable understatement.” The Stares are a four-piece with vocalists/songwriters Drew Whittermore and Angie Benintendi on guitar and piano/keyboards respectively, with Don McGreevy on bass and Jason Merculief on drums.
