what's the fascination with The Emergency all about?

Their MySpace songs are FUCKING HORRIBLE and they don't sound like that live. They aren't very good live either. Minus the vocals, they're pretty raging and have a fucking great stage presence but FUCK they are NOT THAT GREAT. Someone please explain what's so great about The Emergency.
