Um, don't thank me yet. What I mean to say, twisting your own words, was that RATM were "sissy boy rap-wannabe rock", to which I opined that you neglected to call out "butt-jazz", which is a subgenre I just dreamed up.

Now, I'm all for the social/political/environmental justice movement, and I like the idea that a pop band would market, um, "s/p/e justice" issues to disaffected, suburban stoner youth. However, I can't listen to RATM today, nor could I then, as they sound like, well, ass cancer. "Butt-jazz". I mean, punk rock is famous for its simplicity and abrasive sound, but RATM really take it to a whole new level for me by stealing hooks from "playing the blues for beginners". Listening to them makes me dumb.

Audio Slave is even worse, if possible. Poor, broke (one can only assume/hope) Chris Cornell.
