Ronald Reagan said that about Iran/Contra or "we begin bombing in five minutes" or Ron Jr. or the first Space Shuttle that went boom or something—I can't remember what exactly.
This year's HUMP! was an entirely pulled-out-of-our-asses operation, if that's not too gory an image to use when discussing a porn contest. We erred in many ways, but the first error, the error from which all other errors grew, was in scheduling the deadline for entries (he he he) and the screening so close together. By the time we had all the tapes in the building we thought, shit, we haven't given that much thought to the event itself. We didn't give much thought to the event in advance—how many screenings, how to sell the tickets—because we weren't sure we would get any entries. This was an entirely new thing, an unprecedented event. Until the last day for people to enter, we were worried about having to cancel the event, not how to sell the tickets.
So… when the entries poured in, well, we scrambled. And our first plan—cash only, at the door—was dropped in favor of selling the tickets in advance. We’re sorry that you got incorrect, early info. We feel awful about it, actually—seriously, Mr. Pat.

Hi Dan, thanks so much for your reply.
I'm very sorry my post came across so harsh, i was really bummed out at not being able to attend your Hump! screening.....How did it go anyway?
I work in the adult industry (self employed and partner with adult store in white center, Stan's Adult Super Store) and know how hard it can be to arrange events and the worry that people won't even show up or have any interest in a particular venture!
I can understand the planning concerns and wondering if anyone was gonna show up!!
Hopefully I can get on a mailing list or something so we can obtain tickets for next years event...hell i'll even volunteer to help! ha ha
i still love your paper and your articles, best in town, and also this forum rocks.

Would there ever exist any problems between autonomous agents if perfect communication spanned them all?
