A plethora of lies and excuses has spewed forth from the White House for total failure to respond to the worst natural disaster in America in a hundred years. None of these excuses have any merit, and we are going to find that the White House’s refusal to act will be responsible for more deaths than 9/11 victims and US soldiers killed in Iraq so far combined.
It is no surprise that an administration of compulsive liars and corporate execs, who have already plunged the United States into debt of mind-boggling proportions, have been responsible for the mass murder of foreign civilians, as well as torture, rape and murder, would so horribly mismanage this terrible tragedy.
It has never been more obvious that as long as this corrupt regime remains in power, the United States is in rapid freefall towards total disintegration. The last few years have brought us colossal and preventable intelligence failures such as 9/11, suspension of civil liberties, illegal imprisonment of people including US citizens without due legal process, soaring fuel prices, corrupt elections, homelessness and unemployment, illegal wars on foreign land, the tossing out of treaties on nuclear arms reduction and global warming, and this last week yet another terrible tragedy that the Federal Government completely failed to fulfill its duties for.
During most of this time, elected Democrats have mostly done nothing but applaud the president when not sitting on their hands, and have enabled at every step most of these terrible goings-on. They have supported the illegal military action, and refused to act in the face of corrupt federal elections. Shame on these people, they have continually failed us as well. Strangely, in the light of all this, people continue to support this party.
As long as the current regime remains in power, this nation will be further pillaged and damaged by corporate interests, and apparently as this week as shown, the government has no qualms about letting thousands of our own citizens die on our own soil. How soon until we reach the point of no return?
