Schwarzenegger has to choose between vetoing the bill and alienating the people or signing the bill and alienating his party. Even if he vetoes the bill, it can still be added on to the next election as an initiative where it can't be vetoed. California's going to be joining Massachusetts soon!

Schwarzenegger will veto it, meaning it has to now be voted in as an initiative. His approval rating was pretty low even before he did this, and this bill was pretty popular in California, so he might be in for some rocky terrain.
