Default Inner Tubing on a River?

Does anybody know a good place (as close to King County as possible, but I'm willing to drive a couple hours) to go innertubing down a river?

I've heard that the following rivers might be good options, but I really have no clue about this: Wenatchee, Stillaguamish, Green River Gorge, Nooksack, Arlington.

If anybody ever does this and knows a good place to go, please help a brotha out! =)

Thanks in advance.

One good location is the Snoqualmie, starting just below the falls. You can drive up to Salish Lodge & just before the south parking lot is a trail down to the river. Nice, leisurely float down to the bridge at Fall City, which has a sandy beach on the south bank for easy haul-out; takes maybe 70 - 90 minutes, depending on how the river's running. The drive out is less than 45 minutes, especially if you take I-90 east to the Preston/Fall City exit and go in the back way instead of taking 202 from Redmond. However, I would definitely wait a few weeks until we get at least several straight days of +70 degree weather, as the water even now is freakin' cold!

And when you're done, stop by Small Fries for a double-cheese burger deluxe, fries & a strawberry shake! Or have a beer at the Riverfront.

Awesome....thanks for the tip.

So...I guess if we really wanted, we could walk back up to the car afterward =)

j/k ... Where should I park the second car...not for the departure, but for the end of the run? In other words, where is exactly is "the bridge at Fall City" - what road is it?

Thanks again!

It's at the junction of County 202 (Redmond-Fall City Road) and the Fall City-Carnation Road. There's a park along the south side of the river, just west of the bridge, and you can just park alongside the road.
